This is just a brief overview of the conditions we treat. If you are wondering if your condition can be treated, please do not hesitate to contact us.
All our treatments are carried out by chartered physiotherapists so you can be assured that we are properly qualified, governed by a professional code of conduct and covered by professional liability insurance.
Depending on your condition, treatment may consist of:
Stretching of restricted neural tissue e.g. sciatica.
Graduated joint mobilisation of restricted joints such as frozen shoulders.
A self help routine of stretching, strengthening and mobilisation is given in most cases.
The use of corrective insoles to prevent lower limb problems eg knee pain, achilles tendonitis, shin splints, fallen arches and foot pain.
Relaxing soft tissue massage to relax muscle tension and facilitate mobilisation. Deeper soft tissue massage to reduce swelling, fibrosis, scar tissue formation etc.
Restoration of movement to stiff joints between individual vertebrae. Techniques vary from very gentle fine touch movements of mobilisation and stretching to manipulation.
To reduce inflammation and pain and to accelerate the bodies own healing processes eg achilles tendinitis, tennis elbow, arthritic joints etc.
You will be advised as fully as possible how to deal with your condition and how to reduce the risk of a recurrence in the future eg posture and ergonomic advice on prevention of spinal problems at work.
